Davey Suicide Kickstarter

decibelmusic:

It’s been a big week for Davey Suicide. The band recently announced dates for an upcoming tour routing with Orgy and Vampires Everywhere! which you can check out here. And, like most groups, the band has taken to Kickstarter to help fund tour necessities. But instead of “We need to fix our van”, “we want to self produce an album”, or other legitimate (although well used) reasons, they’ve brought something different.

“Going into this year we wanted to make our live show bigger and better than 2012.  So, we’ve built a plan to get a new light rig and sound production with the help of YOU!  To help fund this production we’ve launched a kickstarter.  How it works is we’ve compiled memorabilia that include: custom vests, pants, gloves, hand sewn Cross Your Heart phone cases, memorabilia from video shoots, brand new limited edition signed & numbered posters & prints, paintings, phone calls from the band, Skype bass lessons, stage worn shirts, a personal tattoo session with Me, and an exclusive private acoustic performance at your house and more!!!….in exchange from a donation from you!”

I think it goes without saying that everyone here at Decibel is a sucker for a killer live show. And when we saw Davey Suicide on The Scene Is Dead tour, the band delivered a visual spectacle that I’ve never seen pulled off by an opening band. If this project means amping up what they’re already doing, I can’t wait to see what they’re pulling off.

Davey Suicide has always aimed for his band to be larger than life. It’s a dream so many of us have. Whether you love the band or hate them, that’s a feeling we can all sympathize with. And it’s a dream that many would be honored to help support.

Plus, the incentives are Killer.

Anonymous asked: Do you smoke pot? Would you smoke with Ben?

No and no. I don’t drink nor do drugs. Never will either.

Anonymous asked: Hey do you know how old Ben is/when his birthday is?

November 5th and he just turned 40. I think anyway. I can’t really remember if that’s accurate though right now.

Ben has a Twitter now.
